Celebrities Who Have Saved Lives

Whether a regular person or celebrity, we are all human and strive to help others when we can. These celebrities have all been credited with saving the lives of others:

• Mila Kunis – When a 50-year-old man working at Mila Kunis’ house collapsed and started choking, vomiting and coughing up blood, she had a friend call 911. She rolled the man into the recovery position, ensuring that he would not choke on his own bodily fluids. She offered to travel with the man to the hospital, but was told it wasn’t necessary.
• Patrick Dempsey – Not only does Patrick Dempsey save lives on television, but he saves them in real life as well. After a car flipped over near his home in Malibu, California, Dempsey saved the teen driver from the twisted wreck. He called paramedics and the teen was taken suffered only a concussion and an eye injury.
• Kate Winslet – Kate Winslet was staying at Sir Richard Branson’s Caribbean estate for the weekend when a fire broke out, destroying the entire home. However, Winslet managed to carry Branson’s 90-year-old mother out of the house and brought her to safety.
• Demi Moore – Surprising as it may sound, stars have even saved lives through the Internet. When a depressed fan sent a message about killing herself to Demi Moore on Twitter, Moore shared it with her 400,000 followers, commenting that she hoped the messenger was joking. Several followers inspired by the exchange contacted authorities, and the Twitter messenger got the help she needed.
• Vin Diesel – While going a motorcycle ride in Hollywood, Vin Diesel witnessed the vehicle crash and burst into flames. With calculated, quick thinking he managed to get the driver to crawl out and save the two children passengers before the car was completely destroyed by fire. Everyone was left unhurt by the incident.
• Zoe Saldana – After witnessing a car accident, Zoe Saldana helped a badly injured elderly woman out of her car and off the road. Saldana stayed with the woman until paramedics arrived, giving details about what she had witnessed the firemen and police officers. Saldana even went back to the car to retrieve the woman’s purse and sweater.
• Tom Cruise – While on a vacation cruise off the island of Capri, Tom Cruise and companions spotted a sailboat on fire with an emergency raft containing five people nearby. Cruise and the yachts skiff and brought the distressed people to safety moments before the vessel sank.
• Dustin Hoffman – Dustin Hoffman was in a London’s Hyde Park when a nearby jogger collapsed from a heart attack. He called the emergency number and stayed with the jogger until help arrived, telling paramedics what had happened. The jogger later recovered.
