Experience Middle Eastern food and culture

On Sunday December 6, Rymill Park becomes the location for lovers of all things Lebanese.  This is when the inaugural Yalla Lebanese festival comes to life, showcasing the best that Lebanese food, music, dance and culture has to offer.

Yalla means  ‘c’mon, let’s go!’  in Arabic, but this summer Yalla means a day of eating, drinking, singing and dancing!  Yalla will feature all-day entertainment including singers, musicians, DJs, belly dancers and ‘dabke’ performers – traditional Lebanese dancers. Plus there’ll be plenty of opportunities for patrons to learn from the professionals and participate in the action.

Lebanese food is well known for its flavour and colour. From fiery BBQ to delicious falafel, from shuwarma (Lebanese style yiros) to mouth-watering sweets like baklava, the Yalla Festival will have your taste buds exploding with full intensity! Yum!

Yalla is a family friendly event so there’ll be plenty of entertainment for the kids including bouncy castle and camel rides.

The Yalla Festival is proudly supported by: Boat Deck Cafe & Pizzeria, Email early learning centres, Caffe Acqua, Karl Chehade Dry Cleaning, The Rezz (Reservoir Hotel), O’Halloran Hill Fruit Mart, Gold York Group and the South Australian Lebanese Women’s Association.

So Yalla! Let’s see you there!
