Najjars, splendid Middle Eastern dining and entertainment
The recent Middle Eastern Night at Najjars Cafe, in North Adelaide, was thoroughly enjoyed by all diners in the know who had cleverly signed up for the magnificent feast complete with authentic dancing by the sensual Narmaya Oriental Belly Dancer.

Najjars’ mezzanine floor was awash with tables covered to spill with the tastiest food the Middle East has to offer including Hommous (chickpea) and Babaghanouh (eggplant) dips, grilled Arabic bread; fresh Tabouli (chopped parsley, onion and tomato salad); Kibbie (minced meat with cracked wheat and spices); assorted kebabs; and other culinary delights. Not one diner could eat all that was served dish by dish and followed by delicious Lebanese pastries baked freshly in Najjars’ famed kitchen of delights.
The evening was topped off by short black Arabic coffee lightly spiced with Cardomen and a set of impromptu Dabke dancing by the joyous Lebanese diners, who were soon joined by the Australians who had a sporting go at this authentic art form in excellent humour. A splendid night was had by all… Look out for the next event Najjars!
